The film follows Aaron (Alexander Crowther), as he takes decisive action and commits himself to a reparative retreat. Shortly after his arrival, Aaron begins to experience the manipulations of John (Ryan Hollyman), the retreat's group leader, taking Aaron down a path of self-reproach and resentment as he discovers the limit of one's ability to achieve change.
A film Vancouver International Film Festival calls a" undeniably devastating" and psychologically rich"  debut film from writer director Andrew Stanley.

Andrew Stanley is a Toronto-based filmmaker. He has been the recipient of TIFF’s Barry Avrich Award for Developing Film Talent and was awarded a Filmmaker in Residence at The Wexner Center’s Film/Video Studio Program. Flowers of the Field is his debut feature.
